Scheephes CAL2026 kit Cotton Create DK | Yarn Island

The Scheepjes Perfect Picnic CAL was developed in collaboration with crochet designer Eleonora Tully of Coastal Crochet. One of Eleonora’s favorite blanket designs makes its debut with Scheepjes in three new color palettes.

Inspired by beautiful picnic spots, each color palette captures the atmosphere and beauty of a special destination. Featuring front and back post stitches, playful bobbles, simple Tunisian crochet, and a join-as-you-go construction, the blanket offers a great balance of familiar and new techniques, providing plenty of opportunities to enhance your crochet skills while exploring color and texture.

The CAL (Crochet-A-Long) runs from October 21 to December 9, 2026; join the official Scheepjes Facebook groups (international and Dutch) to discuss the project with the community.

Project information:

-The pattern is accessible via a QR code included in the kit.

-The finished blanket will measure approximately 115 x 92 cm after blocking.

-26 balls of Scheepjes Cotton Create DK yarn (50% Post-Consumer Recycled Cotton, 50% Premium Cotton – 50g/170m per ball – machine washable up to 40°C)

For this project, you will also need:

-3.00 mm and 3.50 mm crochet hooks
